She was able to immediately put into practice what she had learned by carrying out the sequences of 209 Togolese samples (dating from mid-July and the end of September 2021). The analyzes showed that all the cases were due to the Delta variant.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of her training within the Montpellier team, and in particular with Christelle Butel and Laetitia Serrano (biologists), Nicolas Munoz Fernandez (bioinformatician), Martine Peeters and Ahidjo Ayouba (virologists), Adjo Seyram Comlan is now perfectly independent to set up sequencing activities in her home laboratory.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1849\" src=\"https:\/\/www.afroscreen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Adjo-Seyram-Comlan-et-Christelle-Butel-dans-le-laboratoire-de-sequencage-de-lUMI-TransVIHMI.jpg\" alt=\"Adjo Seyram Comlan et Christelle Butel dans le laboratoire de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de l\u2019UMI TransVIHMI\" width=\"700\" height=\"463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.afroscreen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Adjo-Seyram-Comlan-et-Christelle-Butel-dans-le-laboratoire-de-sequencage-de-lUMI-TransVIHMI.jpg 890w, https:\/\/www.afroscreen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Adjo-Seyram-Comlan-et-Christelle-Butel-dans-le-laboratoire-de-sequencage-de-lUMI-TransVIHMI-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.afroscreen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Adjo-Seyram-Comlan-et-Christelle-Butel-dans-le-laboratoire-de-sequencage-de-lUMI-TransVIHMI-768x508.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.afroscreen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Adjo-Seyram-Comlan-et-Christelle-Butel-dans-le-laboratoire-de-sequencage-de-lUMI-TransVIHMI-600x397.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Adjo Seyram Comlan and Christelle Butel in the UMI TransVIHMI sequencing laboratory<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre du projet, le laboratoire BIOLIM est en charge de r\u00e9aliser le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age et le criblage des mutations par PCR d\u2019\u00e9chantillons togolais, et de collecter et analyser des donn\u00e9es \u00e9pid\u00e9miologiques sur les \u00e9chantillons qui rel\u00e8vent la pr\u00e9sence de variants pr\u00e9occupants.<\/p>\n<p>Le renforcement par AFROSCREEN des capacit\u00e9s de BIOLIM consiste non seulement en la formation de son personnel (formations au s\u00e9quen\u00e7age, au criblage par PCR, \u00e0 l\u2019analyse bio-informatique, \u00e0 la phylog\u00e9nie etc.), mais aussi en l\u2019acquisition d\u2019\u00e9quipements, r\u00e9actifs et consommables n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation des activit\u00e9s de laboratoire. Ainsi, BIOLIM se verra notamment dot\u00e9 courant du premier semestre 2022 d\u2019un s\u00e9quenceur NGS lui permettant de d\u00e9marrer le s\u00e9quen\u00e7age du SARS-CoV-2, et \u00e0 termes d\u2019autres pathog\u00e8nes \u00e9mergeants.<\/p>\n<p>A travers le projet AFROSCREEN et cette opportunit\u00e9 de formation sur un pas de temps long, c\u2019est aussi le partenariat de l\u2019IRD \/ UMR TransVIHMI et BIOLIM qui est durablement renforc\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n
