Publication of a scientific article in the framework of the AFROSCREEN project: “Circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant (B1.1.529) in the general population of western Burkina Faso, in West Africa”
The first scientific article written within the framework of the AFROSCREEN project has been published thanks to the collaboration of two members of the AFROSCREEN network (the MURAZ Center and the Sourou Sanou University Hospital) and various Burkinabé public health stakeholders involved in national epidemiological surveillance.

This article, published in February 2023, aims to study the circulation of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 (B1.1.529) in the general population of Burkina Faso and to propose, among other things, better preventive strategies.
